I've had some time to think about it and I will be renaming my blog.  It'll be a while for me to process over to the new name and style of blog but let me give you the DL~

Instead of doing thing how I've been doing them (everything is pretty random) I'll be doing things a little more... neater.  There will still be fashion and whatnot, but I thought it would be more appropriate for me (since I'm like beyond busy all the time) to turn my blog from a fashion blog to a style blog.  The new name you ask? lifeStyled.  Posting will vary from fashion to home to DIYs to events to anything.  I will be sharing my life with you-- styled.

The revamped "Legit Fashion" will be all about my style.... of fashion, life, home decor, and all the little things in between.

Of course, I want to do what YOU GUYS want so comment below and let me know if you like this idea or not.

Lots of Love,

Its the last week of the quarter and that means that it's finals week.  I'm exhausted and I feel like I've gotten so much sleep compared to some of the people here... I don't even know how they're surviving right now.  Anyways, these are a couple pictures of what I wore today for my speech final.  Its a morning class so I went super casual with a maxi and tee-- basically my go-to look if I don't want to get out of bed in the AM.
Sorry for the weird photo quality, I don't know what's up with that... I took these with a nice camera.  Anyways, here goes nothing! Week 10/10... Go Caroline!!!

Trying to stay away... Xo,

Halloween is such a love/hate holiday for me.  I hate it because it's stupid... like why is it a holiday?  I don't understand... but I love it because its like an opportunity to dress up like whatever you want!  I love it.  Above are some pics from Halloween.  Obviously, I rocked a fox head at one point during Halloweek because I was "foxy".  Then in the second picture you see me and my roommate Victoria dressed up as the "SCAD bowling team" on actual Halloween! There isn't really a SCAD bowling team, but we found these super rad bowling shirts at a local thrift store that totally look like they should've been for a SCAD team.... We definitely are the cutest roommates ever!

Thankful the holiday is over though! XO,

get trendy!

fall trends- tops

fall trends- outerwear

fall trends- pants

fall trends- bags

fall trends- dresses

fall trends- dresses by legitfashion featuring a metallic dress

So guys-- Temperatures are dropping and the leaves are changing colors so you know what that means.... its Fall!!!  Since I'm from Los Angeles, I've never really experienced a real Fall so being in Savannah right now is like the strangest thing ever!  I mean, its not completely cold here, but there has definitely been a change in the air.  I'm kind of in love with it!  Except for the fact that I did not pack for this weather.....Above are some of my favorite things that I'm adding to my closet this season!

Jumpers are super in right now.  Especially ones with overal motifs (like skulls, hearts, stars, bows, etc.) and big prints like a cat face!  Also, anything with studded shoulders or collars is big!  Studded collars are great for layering with sweaters... its so cute when your collar pops out over the top of a pull over!  Denim button downs continue to be in as well as anything in Oxblood.  Denim button downs can be worn by themselves or unbuttoned with a tee or dress underneath.  Oxblood looks great with denim or just some black pants.  It is definitely the "it" color this year!

Oversized denim is a must have this season.  Its just so comfy and cute that its perfect for any daytime outing from shopping with your besties to a hot lunch date!  Faux fur is also really trendy right now.  I mean who doesn't look fierce in a cheetah print coat?!  No one.... if you have the guts I'd get one of these bad boys stat!  Finally, parkas are a must have for this fall.  They are definitely great if you're trying to fight off some nasty weather and need to layer up.

Screen printed leggings are definitely really big right now.  It doesn't matter if they're the cliché galaxy ones or these super cute sunset pair... they're big right now.  Paired with a nice oversized white tee and denim jacket... you couldn't look anymore trendy!  On top of that, leather skinnys/leggings are a must have right now.  These guys can be a little pricey, but I recommend investing in a good pair because they are definitely timeless.  They're super great because you can easily take them from day to night with just some simple tweaks in accessories.  Finally, last but not least, once again... OXBLOOD!  Seriously, this color is huge.  In addition to wearing it in your tops, oxblood pants are really popular at the moment.

We all know the "it" bag this season is the Céline luggage tote bag (or anything along the same style).  So hot!!  Also....Large shopper totes as well as your average joe canvas totes are really in right now!  Finally, for evening, super embellished clutches are really in right now and I'm especially going crazy over this one from River Island!  Seriously-- to. die. for.

Let's be real... we're seeing it everywhere!  Baroque is like the "it" print this season (just like oxblood is the "it" color!)  For style-wise, skater dresses as well as shift dresses are what-to-wear right now.  They're casual but really classy... and I mean, if you're like me then you're really happy!

I hope that this little tidbit inspired you/helped you/enlightened you about stayin' trendy this Fall!!  Comment below and let me know what you're favorite trend is right now!

Falling into fall... xo,

happy halloween!

Happy Halloween to all my lovely readers out there!  Please stay safe this evening while you're out there rockin' your most fashionable Halloween looks!  If I wasn't still sick, I would have been a bowler for tonights festivities but instead I'm stuck in bed (yet again) studying for my drawing quiz tomorrow!  Lame, I know!  But don't let me get you down, go out and have an amazing evening!  Dance and play until you can't no more!

Stay safe and eat lots of candy! Xo

the little things

So as I was scrolling through the lovely pages of Tumblr this evening, I noticed some posts that I normally don't reblog (see photos above).  I noticed that I never reblog or even give photos about the little details of fashion pictures a second glance.  I'm not sure why though, but tonight I did give them that second glance.  Through this simple, silly action the idea of detail really hit me.  Like, when you look at an outfit you look at it as a whole first... then if you like it (or don't like it!) you break it down into detail and examine each little attribute.  It's so silly, but it made me think about the importance of the little things when it comes to what we wear... a simple cuffed jean, or the chunkiness of a sweater make all the difference.  Sorry if I'm sounding a little crazy tonight, but its important!!

Being crazy! Xo,

Hey babes,
As you all are probably aware of my now... I go to an art college and I absolutely love everything single thing about it.  I think though, that my favorite thing of all is the fact that I can wear whatever the heck I want and not be looked at funny or have people think, "Hey, isn't Caroline a little overdressed for class?" or "What in the world is she wearing?!"  I love it!  Yesterday, after being in school for practically two months, I decided that I would actually get fully dressed for class.  Obviously I get dressed everyday and I wear clothes (duh), but yesterday I decided that I would actually do my hair and make-up pretty-ly and create a new look from pieces in my closet.  And actually, I think it was the best day I've had in a couple weeks!
So, like the point I made in a speech for my public speaking class today, what you wear has a lot of effects on your life so dress up!!  Get fab, go wild!

Wildly, xo

**Photos by the lovely Victoria Strong.

I've loved Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen from the second I opened my first Ashley Olsen Barbie doll given to me on Christmas Eve 2001 from my best friend Zachary.  Ever since then, the sisters have grown up to be some of the biggest influences in my life other than my family and friends.  I was kid around the time they were kids; I was teen around the time they were teens (and so on!)  Not only do I love them for the incredible fashion sense and beauty, but because of their ambition, accomplishments and humility.
In addition, I love the two because when they're photographed they never look perfectly perfect like every other celebrity out there.  They just look like normal women who happen to be in the spotlight and I absolutely adore that.  No airbrushed faces, no it-took-three-hours hairdos.  And I think in the midst of all their imperfection, they're the perfect role model for young, aspiring fashionistas like me.  Sure, they've had their problems and they've dealt with them but I mean, who doesn't?  They're not perfect and shouldn't be expected to be just because they're on the cover of magazines.
And I also personally love that they've been famous since they were born but have managed to live one of the most incognito celebrity lifestyles ever.  I mean, I think they deserve so much more credit than they're given.

Sending lots of love to MKA and all my readers! Xo,

Hi guys! So I have some exciting news... I'm making friends at college!  Yay!!!  Okay, so like that's not a really big deal since obviously it was inevitable that I would make friends but like its still exciting!  Randomly one night one of my roommates invited her friend over and he brought his friend and then we became friends when we realized he had matching clothes.  (Okay, not the same exact thing since he's a dude and I'm not!)  After this marvelous discovery, we decided that a twin day was necessary... and that happened to be yesterday!  Anyways, my new friend/candy stripe twin is named Jacob Wildfong (sick name right?!) and he's a pretty legit fashion photographer!  He's a SCAD student just like me, so its obvious that he's gonna be famous one day so check out his Flickr >>here<< to see what he's up to!

Stay classy. Xo,

brb dying~

Literally had to pick my jaw off from the ground when I saw this dress while I was browsing online.  Literally this is the most gorgeous thing I've ever laid my eyes on.  Honestly, I'm having a moment right now... Black and White.  Beading.  The open back.  The most lovely pattern.  Seriously, can anyone spot me one grand for this beaut?!  Literally, I would consider selling a kidney for this.
Okay, I'm over exaggerating a little bit... but really, its perfect.

Crying because this dress is so pretty. Xo,

wild hearted blues

Blogging from bed with a cup of tea and lot of bottles of vitamins and cold medicine, I'm just posting a little bit of what I want my fall fashion to look like this year.  Since I've been sick, I haven't been able to take many fashion pictures so hopefully this will make up for it!
This fall I really want my style to scream effortless simplicity rock, but still look really put together, girly and thoughtful.  Its complicated, but I'm sure it makes sense.  I'm really into a lot of neutral colors (especially black, like always) with a pop of color here and there (mainly pastels, neons and some jeweled tones).  Also, a lot of blue.  Normally I'm not a blue person, but I've been really into it lately.  Always gotta try something new!
What style are you trying to grasp onto for this season! Let me know in the comments below!

Sending lots of love from under the covers! Xo

Hey hey hey!
Fall is coming and last night I was definitely feeling the need to bring out my new(ish) comfy sweater and jeans.  This idea was good and bad.  Let me tell you the story: My roommates and I were in desperate need of Starbucks--and a break from studying-- so we busted a mission downtown to grab our grande Salted Carmel Mochas (never again, way too sweet for me!)  Me, of course, not thinking about the weather we've had her in Savannah lately, put on the worst possible outfit for the occasion. Lets just say that it was 7pm and about 85 degrees and humid... But I sure loved the way it looked!  I am soooo ready for Fall!  ...I can't believe I just said that!  Maybe its because this is the first time I'll actually get to experience real Fall since LA Fall is basically summer with some rain.

Xo, Car

P.S. Sorry for the horrible picture quality... I moved and forgot to bring a camera so my iPhone is all I got for right now.  I'm working on getting my hands on a camera though!
